Part-Time Nanny / After-School Care

A warm and welcoming family based in Summersdale, Chichester are seeking a kind, reliable and engaging nanny to support with after-school care for their two daughters, aged 7 and 9. The girls are loving, bright and sweet-natured, and a real joy to be around. With both parents working, the family are looking for someone who can provide a calm, nurturing and well- structured environment in the evenings, supporting a smooth and happy end to the day.

Role details:

Days: Monday & Tuesday

• Hours: 5:30pm – 8:30pm

• Start: ASAP

• Type: Permanent, part-time

• Location: Summersdale, Chichester

• Salary: £15–£18 per hour (depending on experience)

Duties include:

• School collection (driver essential)

• Creating a calm and positive after-school routine

• Supporting with reading and light homework

• Preparing and serving a simple, nutritious supper

• Bath/shower and bedtime routine

The family would also welcome occasional evening babysitting, as well as the possibility of additional ad hoc days during school holidays (although the children often attend summer camps). The eldest daughter has hearing loss and wears a hearing aid. The family are open, communicative and supportive, and will share all relevant information. Experience in this area would be a bonus, but is not essential - a kind, attentive and thoughtful approach is most important. They are looking for someone warm, dependable and genuinely interested in becoming part of their family life.

Requirements:

• Full, clean driving licence and own car

• 2 + Childcare Experience

• Enhanced DBS check

• Paediatric First Aid certificate

• Previous childcare experience with school-aged children

• Excellent references
