About the Role
This is a blended nanny and light housekeeping role, supporting a family with one daughter (turning 5), who is currently in Reception and attends school during term time (8:30am – 3:30pm).
The role offers a balance of childcare and household support, with more housekeeping during school hours and focused childcare in the afternoons and school holidays.
Responsibilities
Childcare duties:
Sole charge care from school pick-up through to bedtime
Planning fun, engaging and creative activities
Supporting the child’s development in a gentle, age-appropriate way
Taking the child to activities and outings
Managing dinner, bath and bedtime routine
Household support:
Family laundry, ironing, folding and putting away clothes
Light household upkeep (tidying, dishwasher, hoovering, general organisation)
Receiving deliveries
Meal preparation and kitchen support
Running errands such as post office, dry cleaning and grocery top-ups
Keeping the child’s bedroom and bathroom clean and organised
Candidate Requirements
Warm, kind and nurturing approach
Able to provide structure and routine
Full UK driving licence and own car (essential due to location)
Happy to work in a home with a cat
Reliable, organised and proactive
