Sproggle - Childcare Professional Terms & Conditions
Effective Date: 26th March 2026
These Terms & Conditions outline the agreement between you (“the Childcare Professional”) and Sproggle (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By registering with Sproggle, you agree to the following:
1. Registration with Sproggle
To join Sproggle, you agree to:
Provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information
Submit valid identification and proof of right to work in the UK
Hold (or be willing to obtain) an enhanced DBS check
Provide at least two recent, relevant references
Sproggle reserves the right to accept or decline any application at our discretion.
2. Your Role as a Childcare Professional
You are engaged with families as a self-employed childcare provider, unless otherwise agreed in writing.
You are responsible for:
Your own tax, National Insurance, and legal obligations
Ensuring you have appropriate insurance (e.g. public liability)
Maintaining your qualifications and training
Sproggle acts as an introduction and matching service, not your employer.
3. Professional Standards
By joining Sproggle, you agree to:
Provide safe, attentive, and nurturing care at all times
Act professionally, reliably, and respectfully
Follow each family’s routines, preferences, and instructions
Communicate clearly with both families and Sproggle
Arrive on time and honour agreed bookings
Failure to meet these standards may result in suspension or removal.
4. Safeguarding Responsibilities
You must:
Prioritise the safety and wellbeing of every child
Report any safeguarding concerns immediately to Sproggle
Follow current safeguarding best practices
Sproggle has zero tolerance for behaviour that compromises child safety.
5. Bookings & Availability
You are responsible for managing your own availability
Once a booking is confirmed, you are expected to honour it
Any cancellations should be communicated as early as possible
Repeated cancellations or unreliability may result in removal from the agency.
6. Fees & Payments
Your hourly/daily rate will be agreed in advance
Payment arrangements (whether via Sproggle or directly with families) will be clearly outlined
Sproggle may charge families a placement or booking fee
You agree not to bypass Sproggle to avoid agency fees where introductions have been made through us.
7. Confidentiality
You must:
Respect the privacy of families at all times
Not share personal or sensitive information
Maintain discretion regarding household matters
This obligation continues even after your time with Sproggle ends.
8. Conduct & Behaviour
The following will not be tolerated:
Negligence or unsafe childcare practices
Dishonesty or misrepresentation
Inappropriate behaviour towards children or families
Breach of confidentiality
Sproggle reserves the right to terminate your registration immediately if concerns arise.
9. Reviews & Feedback
As Sproggle grows, families may provide feedback on your services.
Feedback will be used to maintain high standards
Consistently poor feedback may result in removal
Positive feedback may support more booking opportunities
10. Insurance & Liability
You are responsible for holding appropriate insurance
Sproggle is not liable for any loss, damage, or injury occurring during your work with families
You accept full responsibility for your professional conduct
11. Termination of Registration
Either party may end this agreement at any time.
Sproggle reserves the right to suspend or terminate your registration if:
You breach these terms
Safeguarding concerns arise
You fail to meet expected standards
12. Changes to Terms
Sproggle may update these Terms & Conditions from time to time. You will be notified of any significant changes.
13. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of United Kingdom.
