3. Safeguarding & Child Protection

Sproggle operates with a strict commitment to safeguarding:

  • All childcare professionals must hold an enhanced DBS check (or be on the update service)

  • A minimum of two verified references is required

  • Candidates are interviewed and vetted personally

  • Safeguarding awareness is mandatory for all professionals

  • Any safeguarding concerns must be reported immediately to Sproggle

We have zero tolerance for any behaviour that compromises a child’s safety.

4. Recruitment Standards

To maintain the highest quality of care:

All Sproggle childcare professionals must:

  • Have relevant childcare experience (or recognised qualifications such as Norland, CACHE, etc.)

  • Demonstrate a caring, reliable, and professional attitude

  • Provide valid ID and right-to-work documentation

  • Complete a Sproggle registration and interview process

We carefully match professionals to families based on:

  • Experience and skills

  • Personality and values

  • Specific family needs

5. Professional Conduct

All childcare professionals representing Sproggle are expected to:

  • Arrive on time and be fully prepared

  • Communicate clearly and respectfully

  • Maintain confidentiality at all times

  • Follow parents’ instructions and routines

  • Provide a safe, nurturing environment

Unprofessional behaviour may result in removal from the Sproggle network.

6. Booking & Payments

  • Bookings can be made via email or phone

  • Fees and rates are clearly agreed before confirmation

  • Payment terms will be outlined prior to each booking

  • Cancellation policies apply and will be communicated in advance

7. Confidentiality & Data Protection

Sproggle respects the privacy of both families and childcare professionals:

  • Personal information is handled in line with UK GDPR

  • Details are only shared when necessary for placements

  • We never share information with third parties without consent
