About the Family

A warm and professional family based in St John's Wood, NW8 are looking for a full-time, long-term nanny to become a truly trusted and integral part of family life. Both parents are lawyers working full-time. They are looking for someone who will help raise their daughter from birth - someone proactive, engaging, organised and efficient, who shares their values around education, development and a screen-free childhood. This is not a temporary or short-term position. The family are looking for the right person to grow with their daughter from newborn through to the years ahead, and they want that person to genuinely feel like part of the family.

Salary: £70-80k Gross Annual

The Child

•      A baby girl, due September 2026 - first child.

•      No screen usage around the child - this is a firm family value and a non-negotiable requirement.

•      No known allergies or medical conditions at this stage.

•      The family want a nanny who will be educational, developmental and fun - supporting their daughter to thrive from the very beginning.

Start Date & Settling In

Mother is most likely returning to work in January 2027. The family would like the nanny in place before then to allow for a proper settling-in period and to give mother confidence ahead of going back to work. For the right candidate, there is an option to start from September 2026 when the baby arrives. This would allow time to build a strong bond and establish routines from the very beginning.

The Role

This is a full-time, sole charge nanny position, Monday to Friday 8am–8pm, with the potential for an early finish on some days. The family are looking for someone who brings structure, warmth and proactive energy to the role - someone who takes initiative, implements routines confidently and makes each day feel engaging and purposeful for their daughter.

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

•      Full sole charge care of a newborn, building towards toddler and beyond

•      Implementing and maintaining a consistent, age-appropriate daily routine from the outset

•      Confident newborn care - feeding, routines, settling and soothing

•      Weaning support as the baby grows - preparing healthy, homemade food

•      Planning and delivering engaging, educational and age-appropriate activities every day

•      Supporting all developmental milestones - physical, emotional, social and cognitive

•      Nursery duties - caring for the baby's room, clothing, laundry and general tidiness related to the child

•      No household duties expected beyond those directly related to the child

What They’re Looking For
Essential

•      Minimum 3–5 years of professional childcare experience (5+ years preferred)

•      Confident and experienced with newborns from birth

•      Paediatric First Aid certificate (in date)

•      Enhanced DBS / Police Check

•      Fluent in English

•      Female candidate

•      Full driving licence

•      Proactive, organised, efficient and engaging personality

•      Commitment to a long-term placement - the family want someone to grow with their child

•      Fully supportive of and committed to a no-screens approach

•      Educational and development-focused in approach to childcareDesirable
