A lovely warm, busy family based in Queen’s Park, London. Both parents run their own businesses - Mother is the founder and creative director of her own jewellery brand, based in Notting Hill, and Father works in tech mostly from home. They have a young baby daughter who is 8 weeks old. The family have one cat at home and a smoke-free household.
The Child
• Baby girl, 8 weeks old.
• No allergies, medical conditions or additional needs reported at this stage.
The Role
This is a part-time, live-out role, ideally Monday to Thursday, for around 4-5 hours a day. Mother would like the nanny to come to her office in Notting Hill so she can continue working while remaining close to the baby during these early months. Mother is still breastfeeding, so flexibility around this would be appreciated. The family are looking for someone experienced and warm, ideally a little older, who could grow with the family long-term. Occasional evenings and holiday cover would be a bonus.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Full care of the baby during working hours, following her feeding, sleep and play routine
• General day-to-day childcare, including nappy changes, bathing and settling for naps
• Organising and tidying the baby’s room, toys and belongings
• Laundering baby’s clothes
• Introducing weaning and healthy, age-appropriate food as the baby grows
• Accompanying Mother to her office in Notting Hill on working days
• Supporting the family’s breastfeeding routine as needed
• Occasional evening and holiday babysitting when required
• Growing with the family as the baby’s needs develop
What They’re Looking For
• Experienced, minimum 3-5 years’ professional childcare experience (5+ years preferred)
• Paediatric First Aid certificate (in date)
• Enhanced DBS / Police Check
• Early Years qualification (ideal)
• Warm, nurturing and patient personality
• Comfortable supporting a breastfeeding mother and newborn
Desirable
• Interest in or experience with Montessori and holistic, mindfulness-based approaches
• Flexibility for occasional evenings and holiday cover
• A long-term interest in growing with the family
