Full-Time or Part-Time | South Harting | Live-Out

About the Family

A warm family based in South Harting, West Sussex, is looking for a nanny to care for their two young daughters. Both parents work from home and are very involved whenever they can be, but need to be able to focus on their work during the day. They are looking for someone calm and grounding who enjoys bringing children’s imaginations to life while keeping to a steady routine.

Children

•      Eldest daughter, 3 years old. Attends school five mornings a week and comes home for an afternoon nap. Loves play, creative and outdoor activities, and all things pink and sparkly.

•      Youngest daughter, 18 months old. At home during the day and naps in the afternoon at the same time as her sister. Loves dolls and ride on cars.

The Role

Full-time (5 days) is ideal, but the family are happy to consider a part-time nanny if that is the best fit, with a minimum of 3 days a week required.

•      Looking after, engaging and playing with the youngest daughter in the mornings while her sister is at school, keeping to her routine.

•      Caring for both girls in the afternoons, including nap time, with the same engaging approach and routine.

•      Hours: 9am-5pm, ideally Monday-Friday.

•      Full-time salary: £32,000-£36,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.

•      Part-time rate: £16-£20 gross per hour, depending on experience, for a minimum of 3 days a week.

•      Possibly happy for the nanny to bring their own child to work (to be discussed).

Day-to-Day Responsibilities

•      Caring for, playing with and engaging the girls, keeping to the family routine

•      Creative, imaginative and outdoor play

•      Naps and daily routine for both girls

•      Preparing the children's meals

•      Light cleaning and tidying relating to the nursery and playroom

•      Driving as required, with a nanny car available

What They're Looking For

•      Female nanny; age is not an issue

•      Open to junior, experienced or senior nannies (1 year+ experience)

•      Paediatric First Aid, DBS check and an Early Years qualification

•      Full, confident UK driving licence (nanny car available)

•      Calm but grounding approach, who enjoys working with children and bringing their imaginations alive while sticking to routine

•      Comfortable with light cleaning and cooking related to the children

•      Reliable and able to respect that both parents are working from home
