Full-Time Live-In Nanny/Housekeeper Norfolk

This is a warm, lovely family based in Sculthorpe, Norfolk, looking for someone reliable to become part of the household on a genuinely long-term basis. Mother is often in London during the week, and in return for their commitment, the family are looking to look after their carer well. This is a unique, family-orientated role, suitable for either a single person or a couple. The family have two pet whippets and horses, and a smoke-free home.

The Role

This is a full-time, live-in nanny/housekeeper role, suitable for either a single person or a couple, with a lovely two-bedroom accommodation provided on the property. The family are looking for a flexible, kind, warm team player to help run the house: school runs, looking after the two whippets, laundry and housekeeping, and babysitting when Mother is in London. During term time, hours are approximately 7am to 12pm and 2pm to 6pm (9 hours, with a 2-hour break), and during school holidays hours run 8.30am to 6pm. The role also involves being willing to proxy-parent overnight on the nights Mother is in London, and occasional weekend work, paid extra or taken in lieu. All hours are negotiable. The family are looking for someone mature, able to use their own initiative, a confident driver, and comfortable cooking and preparing simple family meals.

 Day-to-Day Responsibilities

•      Helping to run the household day to day

What They're Looking For

Essential

•      Experience with children from junior to experienced level (ages 1-5 through to teenagers)

•      Full, confident UK driving licence essential (car included with the role)

•      Must love rural country life

•      Mature, able to use initiative and work independently

•      Comfortable cooking and preparing simple family meals

•      Happy to help with light housekeeping, laundry and looking after pets

•      Flexible, warm personality, genuinely looking to become part of the family
