A fantastic and unique opportunity has arisen to join a relaxed, fun-loving and adventurous family who split their time between the beautiful Swiss mountains of Verbier and sunny Mallorca, Spain. Spending approximately half the year in each location, this is an exciting role for a warm, energetic and proactive nanny who loves to travel, enjoys the outdoors and is happy to embrace a varied and adventurous lifestyle. With two young children attending a Montessori school and both parents working, the family is looking for someone who can become a natural part of family life, offer an extra pair of hands and bringing a positive, can-do attitude to each day. This is a wonderful opportunity for someone flexible, easy-going and ready to make the most of life in two incredible locations!
The Children
• Son, 4 years old. Energetic, kind and gracious, with a love of skiing, painting and riding his bike. Just needs the odd boundary set.
• Daughter, 2 years old. A real character: charming, funny and a little cheeky, who loves her dolls and dancing.
The Role
A full-time, live-in role with own accommodation, based in Verbier with around half of the year spent in Mallorca. The family are looking for someone calm, friendly, flexible and "no job too big", who will enjoy mountain life, skiing and swimming. Occasional family travel, normally to the UK, is part of the role. Flexible start date, from around 2nd January.
• Full-time, live-in with own accommodation and regular time off.
• Based in Verbier, Switzerland and Mallorca, Spain, roughly 50/50.
• Occasional travel with the family, normally to the UK.
• Up to £60,000 gross per annum, depending on experience.
Day-to-Day Responsibilities
• Caring for, playing with and engaging the children, keeping to their routine
• Helping with school and nursery runs and keeping children active and outdoors
• Batch cooking and preparing meals for the children
• Laundry for the children and kitchen and dishwasher unloading
• General tidying, errands and light household help
• Driving as required, with a nanny car available
What They're Looking For
• French or Spanish speaking is a huge bonus, with excellent English
• Full, confident UK driving licence; confident driving in mountain conditions
• Outdoorsy, happy with mountain life, and keen on skiing, swimming and travel
• Calm, friendly and flexible, with a "no job too big" attitude
• Comfortable moving between Verbier and Mallorca and travelling with the family
• Experience or interest in a Montessori approach is a plus
